The Special’s is the creation of New Zealand designer Andrea Moore, who has been designing since 1997. Created in the beautiful region of Matakana, The Special’s reflects Andrea’s lifelong mission to design with intention. Each collection draws on colour and the simple luxury of natural fibres to create something unique.
The brand began with Andrea’s realisation that we are always special, no matter our age or stage in life. Our journeys continue to evolve, encouraging us to stay true to who we are. Through the everyday act of putting on a pair of socks, she celebrates the beauty of natural fibres and colour, reminding us that we can be better than ordinary even in the most ordinary moments.
Each piece is made from merino and possum fibres that are sourced and crafted in New Zealand. The Special’s captures the spirit of Matakana and brings mindful awareness to the everyday through simple, thoughtful design that feels fresh and meaningful.
